A Simple Conversation
A beam of sunlight shone its way through my blinds. My eyes cringed at the sight of light, slowly adjusting themselves to it. It was Sunday morning, and I realized my grandma was back. After three weeks of vacationing in the tropical city of Mazatlan --which was shortly after her three weeks vacationing in Bosnia and Italy, which was shortly after her vacation to Russia-- my grandma was home. Grim's Tale
Grim's Tale is a novel we wrote in class. Each of student in class wrote a chapter of a character in a high school. My character's name was Sona, a high school girl who is willingly mute.
Reflection |
Sona The last time I spoke was exactly three years and sixty-five days ago. I haven’t said a word ever since.
The last person I talked to was my mom, all I said was “Sorry.” I’ve walked around the halls of school with a whiteboard strapped to my neck, which hardly ever gets used. I don’t think these people deserve my words. To read the rest of "Sona", click here. |
